The IntraCross Catheter.
The problem: High Failure Rate in PAD Treatment
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and Chronic Total Occlusions (CTOs) remain some of the most complex and challenging conditions in modern vascular medicine.Despite advances, current revascularization procedures suffer from high failure rates, especially when treating CTOs.
1 in 3 patients experience failure in PAD primary treatments
These failures lead to longer surgeries, higher complication rates, and increased healthcare costs
In many cases, endovascular procedures fail, forcing patients into more invasive open surgeries or, in the worst cases, resulting in amputations
Over 150,000 amputations occur annually in the U.S. alone due to CLTI (Chronic Limb Threatening Ischemia)
The need for a safer, faster, and more effective solution has never been greater.
Our solution
The IntraCross Catheter for Angioplasty
IntraCross Medical has developed the IntraCross Catheter, a breakthrough device that offers a solution to the global challenge of CTOs. This patented catheter features a two-in-one design combining “anchoring” and “telescoping” to enable the catheter to cross CTOs with unprecedented precision and power.
1. Guidewire approaching stenosis

2. Stenosis preventing guidewire crossing

3. IntraCross CatheterTM approaches stenosis and begins to inflate balloon

4. Using inflated balloon for support, catheter begins to penetrate stenosis

5. After deflation, balloon shuttle slides closer to stenosis and reinflates to support further penetration

6. Process continues until guidewire and then catheter extend through stenosis

This technology marks a major advancement in the treatment of PAD and CTOs, providing patients with the hope of less invasive and more successful outcomes.
